Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually
General Function:Coordinates, executes, and maintains key food safety and compliance programs from receipt of raw materials through finished product release.
Reports to:FSQA Manager
Positions Supervised:N/A
Responsibilities:
- Maintain Gluten-Free, Organic, Non-GMO, Rainforest Alliance, SQF, and other certification programs under the guidance of the QA Manager.
- Ensure specifications and operations comply with customer-specific requirements and claims.
- Identify non-conformances and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Perform root cause and risk analyses.
- Lead SQF, state, FDA, organic, and customer audits in the absence of the QA Manager.
- Represent QA and Food Safety systems in the absence of the QA Manager.
- Support development and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in food safety and food safety/quality test methods.
- Certifications:
SQF Practitioner, HACCP, FSPCA, PCQI. - Experience participating in and managing gluten proficiency testing.
- Experience developing GMP and food safety requirements.
- Ability to interpret and follow written regulations and customer specifications.
- Stay current on regulatory changes.
- Ability to accurately complete required documentation.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to wear required uniforms and PPE.
- Ability to climb, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to work in temperature extremes.
- Ability to maintain a steady work pace.
Standards of performance:
- Contribute to successful completion of audits and inspections.
- Maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
Authority:
- Authorized to stop a process for food safety or quality reasons.
- Enforces all company policies and procedures and reports food safety or quality issues to the President.
- The Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance Coordinator will be backed up by the FSQA Manager.
