Job Summary
Embark on an exciting journey with Radius, an advanced image post-processing unit within the internationally acclaimed Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. Radius is a multidisciplinary team of radiologists, scientists, analysts, and program staff working together to improve research and patient care.
The Radius Research Image Analyst (Research Analyst I or Research Analyst II) will support clinicians and researchers by performing advanced post-processing of CT and MR data, including image segmentation, 3D model development, 3D printing, 4D flow, tumor response assessment, and cardiac, kidney, and liver analysis.

Additional Job Details- This position may require some work to be performed in‑person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an off‑site, non‑campus work location.
- May require some work during evening hours and weekends, as needed per department and supervisor.
- Multiple titles:
Research Analyst I or Research Analyst II. Applicants will be considered for the title listed in this posting. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist. - Candidates who demonstrate strong analytical abilities, high attention to detail, problem‑solving capabilities, effective communication, and the ability to work well within a team are essential. Additionally, a passion for human anatomy and a high interest in continuous learning, especially basic engineering and medical concepts, are critical for success in this role.
- Prepares reports and manuscripts and assists with the development and presentation of materials through various communication platforms.
- Maintains organization of research records and responds to data requests and inquiries.
- Serves as an initial point of contact for individuals and groups, providing basic information about result analysis and methodologies, answering questions as needed.
- Analyzes data and summarizes research results for a defined research area or study by utilizing established processes.

CompensationThe starting salary for Research Analyst I is $63,000 and for Research Analyst II is $68,000. Actual pay is determined at hire and is based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications- At least 1 year of professional experience involving research analysis, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting complex datasets.
- Proficiency in advanced image analysis techniques and/or familiarity with medical imaging software OR proficiency using computer‑aided design (CAD) modeling software.
- Experience in a 3D lab or similar environment.
- Experience working within a healthcare and/or academic environment.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred minimum for Research Analyst I title.
