Location: Madison, WI
Pay Rate: up to $31.30/hour (based on shift)
Employment Type: Contingent (potential pathway to hire)

Schedule :
Multiple weekday and weekend shifts to choose from!
- 1st shift : 6am-3:30pm, Tu-F - paying $27.40/hr
- 2nd shift : 2pm-11:30pm, Tu-F - paying $29.30/hr
- 3rd shift : 10pm-7:30am, Tu-F - paying $30.40/hr
- Weekend AM : 6am-6:30pm, Sat-M - paying $28.70/hr
- Weekend PM : 6pm-6:30am, Sat-M - paying $31.30/hr
This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy and quality of laboratory testing that clinicians rely on to make critical healthcare decisions. Your work will directly impact patient outcomes while supporting high standards of safety, compliance, and innovation.
What You’ll Do- Perform moderate and highly complex laboratory testing following standard operating procedures
- Execute and document quality control and quality assurance processes
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Prepare reagents and manage laboratory supply inventory
- Identify and resolve issues affecting test performance or lab operations
- Assist with training and mentoring new laboratory personnel
- Support validation of new equipment and laboratory procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage workload to meet productivity and turnaround time expectations
- A current, up‑to‑date resume
- Associate degree in laboratory science, medical laboratory technology, or equivalent coursework/training
- Working knowledge of laboratory regulations and quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem‑solving skills
- Ability to operate laboratory equipment and perform repetitive technical tasks
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility with schedule and changing priorities
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field - Preferred:
Experience with molecular biology techniques - Ability to meet compliance requirements
