Research Materials Coordinator

Madison, WI
Work Schedule:
1st shift
- Ensure accurate handling, tracking, and integrity of test articles (drug formulations, animal feedings and formulations) and study materials for preclinical animal research studies.
- Manage test articles and samples – receiving, shipping, labeling, storing, transferring, tracking, disposal, and inventory reconciliation.
- Review shipping documents.
- Coordinate retrieval and return of study materials and documents.
- Maintain accurate client inventory records.
- Identify and communicate discrepancies.
- Support internal customer requests.
- Help maintain GLP‑compliant storage environments.
- Participate in on‑call rotation for storage‑unit alarms.
- Perform other operational duties.
- Associate’s degree in animal science, biology, biotechnology, chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, lab science, pharmaceutical science.
- Strong Excel skills, including creating worksheets, using pivot tables and formulas.
- 1 or more years following detailed SOPs for research or laboratory work.
- 1 or more years interfacing and providing updates to internal and external customers in a lab or research environment.
- 1 or more years of documentation in a laboratory or research environment.
- 1 or more years of shipping and tracking laboratory samples.
- Comfortable working with data and samples from preclinical animal research.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- On‑call rotation every 4-6 weeks.
$23/hr
