AboutThe Role
The Restaurant Host is the first point of contact for guests at Babes 'll greet and seat guests, manage the waitlist, coordinate table flow, and support smooth front‑of‑house operations. This role includes light bussing duties to keep the dining room clean, reset, and guest‑ready during busy periods. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and confident in communicating with guests and team members.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Greeting & Seating
- Welcome guests warmly and set a positive first impression
- Escort guests to tables, manage table rotation, and balance sections
- Present menus and share specials or promotions
Reservations & Waitlist
- Maintain an accurate waitlist and provide realistic wait‑time estimates
- Communicate table availability and seating updates to guests and the team
Customer Service
- Answer questions, note special requests, and handle concerns professionally
- Assist with large parties and special events as needed
Host Stand Operations
- Answer phones promptly for reservations and to‑go inquiries
- Keep the host stand and lobby clean, organized, and stocked
Team Communication
- Coordinate closely with Servers, Bartenders, Kitchen, and MOD for efficient service
- Share guest preferences and accommodations with the team
Bussing & Dining Room Support
- Clear, wipe, and reset tables quickly and neatly between seatings
- Assist with running waters, pre‑bussing, and restocking side stations (cutlery, napkins, condiments)
- Maintain dining room cleanliness (floors, entryways, menus), especially during peak times
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous host/hostess, receptionist, or customer‑facing experience preferred but not required
- Strong verbal communication and a welcoming, professional demeanor
- Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment
- Team‑oriented with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain mobile for extended periods (typically 4'7 hour shifts)
- Ability to carry up to 20 lbs (e.g., menus, bus tubs, restock items)
- Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly while seating guests and bussing tables
