Description

Summary: The Hotel Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This role creates a welcoming bar experience by delivering exceptional service, maintaining product knowledge, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with safety standards, and contributing to overall guest satisfaction within the hotel environment.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare tables and bar seats for meals, including the complete set up of linens, silverware and glassware.
  • Perform opening and closing side work according to standards to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
  • Perform light food preparation duties including bread, salad preparation, appetizers and desert presentation.
  • Understand and follow brand and other standard steps of service and other guidelines to ensure customers are attended to properly and all food and beverage items comply with quality and presentation guidelines.
  • Check food and beverages for quality and presentation before serving to guest.
  • Prepare all alcoholic beverages for bar guests as well as for server's tables.
  • Check identification to ensure that guests meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
  • Provide wine recommendations to customers.
  • Deliver wine with appropriate glasses and use proper corkage and pouring techniques.
  • Receive guest payments and process transactions.
  • Clear and clean bar seats and tables promptly according to proper sanitation standards.
  • Promptly serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous and professional manner.
  • Ensure that the work area and front of house areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Be familiar with the operation of the P.O.S. system..
  • Follow established cash handling procedures.
  • Follow state liquor laws and prescribed procedures in serving liquor with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests.
  • Attend meetings as required by management.
  • Must be 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
