Store Cashier

Job Responsibilities

• Receive and disburse money in establishments other than financial institutions. May use electronic scanners, cash registers, or related equipment. May process credit or debit card transactions and validate checks.
• As a Store Cashier you will be working in our showroom store assisting customers, picking products, stocking shelves, repackaging and pricing products as well as processing orders and taking payment.
• Answer customers' questions and provide information on procedures or policies.
• Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints.
• Calculate total payments received during a time period and reconcile this with total sales.
• Compute and record totals of transactions.
• Greet customers entering establishments.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
• Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions.
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas and complete other general cleaning duties, such as mopping floors and emptying trash cans.
• Monitor checkout stations to ensure that they have adequate cash available and that they are staffed appropriately.
• Process merchandise returns and exchanges.
• Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
• Request information or assistance using paging systems.
• Stock shelves, and mark prices on shelves and items.

• Must be able to read and write English.
• Prefer high school diploma.
• Must have the ability to walk, stand, and lift products for majority of work shift.
