Weekend Sales Associate

Join our team! The University Book Store is now hiring weekend sales associates at our State Street store. We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused team member for a part-time role, requiring 10 to 20 hours per week. Must be available to work Saturdays.

Serves customers at the sales counter providing outstanding customer service.

• Performs UBS customer service expectations as required.
• Performs basic cash handling and sales transactions to accurately record purchases, and complete transactions according to company procedures.
• Serves customers, answer customer inquiries, and assists customers, demonstrating positive attitude and exceptional service.
• Keeps register/counter area clean and stocked.
• Maintains sales floor presentation, including stocking and rotating merchandise, cleaning and straightening merchandise and fixtures to present a positive store image.
• Unloads and move merchandise to and from the sales floor.
• Maintains sales floor security.
• Performs all additional duties as assigned.

• Helps ensure department teamwork, enthusiasm and commitment to optimum levels of customer service, sales, organization, and professionalism.

• High School degree
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to perform intermittent climbing and bending.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to perform a variety of tasks.
• Retail sales experience preferred.
