About the Role
As a Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales and Profit goals in the store by executing a plan to deliver the Best Customer Experience in the department and overall store. The Department Supervisor will work in accordance with legal requirements and H&M standard policies and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues.
A Day in the LifeWorking at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities:
- Support the total OMNI customer experience in your store, ensuring visual and commercial curation according to global guidelines.
- Represent yourself and the H&M brand positively during customer interactions.
- Be aware of and take responsibility for your department’s strengths and identify commercial opportunities, working with your Department Manager to act on them.
- Ensure customer service is provided in all areas of the store and that your team can actively promote and sell products to customers.
- Follow up that your team actively promotes the Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in‑store sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure correct routines in fitting room and checkout, including transaction, returns and exchanges.
- Ensure all admin routines for both people and operations are handled correctly.
- Keep up-to-date with fashion scene, trends, tendencies, styles, brands, products, competitors and relevant influencers.
- Ensure your team provides product and fashion knowledge as well as other relevant information during customer interactions.
- Retain and share your knowledge and skills with the Store team.
- Collaborate, plan, and work with the in‑store Visual Merchandiser team.
- Give and receive feedback with colleagues to learn, develop and support each other.
- Communicate regularly with store colleagues to inform, motivate and inspire – daily and weekly meetings.
- Ensure all procedures, routines and legal requirements in all areas of the store are followed.
- Secure a clean and tidy sales floor and back‑of‑house including stockroom areas.
- Ensure high fashion quality, visual and commercial product presentation, with good garment care.
- Secure good stock levels and provide input on allocation to the Area team.
- Ensure the full garment cycle – from delivery to presentation – and fitting room routines meet internal standards and use provided tools and technology.
- Maintain best practice for any in‑store OMNI Services and in‑store tech services/tools, e.g., Instore Care App, Click & Collect, Smart Store.
- Maintain a strong balance and consistent price perception throughout the store by following price sign guidelines.
- Update and upkeep BOH areas for all colleagues (key information, health & safety, tidiness).
- Be responsible for opening and closing the store daily.

Expected base salary range: $19.22–22.39 hourly.
Pay Status:
Non‑Exempt, Hourly.
Compensation may vary depending on qualifications and location.
