Aboutthe Role
As a Clerk at one of our retail locations, you will be focused on providing the highest level of service possible to the Co‑op’s internal and external customers. Our Clerks work in one or more of our departments – front end (cashier), deli, cheese counter, juice/coffee bar, produce, meat/seafood, grocery, or general merchandise – which means you’ll have the opportunity to learn a lot!

What You’ll Do- Collaborate with others in the department to ensure that the department is operating at its best and fully staffed.
- Provide customers with product and store information and assist them in finding what they need to make their shopping experience top‑notch.
- Perform deli, cheese counter, and juice bar duties (food prep, replenish hot/cold bar/coffee, stock, perform dish washing).
- Perform meat/seafood counter duties and stock products.
- Cull and stock produce.
- Front, face and stock grocery products.
- Accurately perform all cashier duties.
- Clean the sales floor and backstock areas regularly to keep the workspace orderly and clean.
- Fulfill all shift duties for the day.
- Comply with Health Department Regulations and follow safe food handling practices.
- Increase product knowledge.
- Participate in quarterly inventory.
- Greet and offer assistance to customers.
- Treat people fairly, consistently and with respect.
- Abide by all Co‑op policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and other company documents.
- Participate in required training and meetings.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
