Operate the cash register and process all payment types including cash, checks, credit cards, coupons, food stamps, WIC checks, rain checks, in-store charges, and lottery transactions;
Count back change, issue receipts, and provide cash refunds or credit memorandums for returned merchandise as needed;
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines regarding WIC, food stamps, and the sale of tobacco, liquor, and lottery tickets;
Stock, face, and rotate merchandise, clean shelves, understand shelf tags, and assist customers to items when requested;
Maintain the register area and report improper cash levels; assist in other areas and support special promotions as needed
