Caed Confections creates handcrafted chocolates and confections with a focus on quality, creativity, and memorable customer experiences. Our Madison location is located inside a lively public market surrounded by local businesses, community events, and steady customer traffic.

Retail Sales Associates are responsible for creating a warm, friendly, and polished customer experience while helping with the day-to-day operations of the shop. This role includes customer service, sales, restocking products, maintaining displays, and helping keep the space clean and organized.

This is a part-time position with flexible weekday scheduling.

Weekend availability is required.

Our anticipated opening date is mid September
. Exact start dates and training schedules will be communicated as we get closer to opening.

Because we operate inside a public market environment, the pace of the day can vary from relaxed and conversational to fast-paced and high-energy. We’re looking for people who can comfortably adapt to both.

• Welcome customers and provide a positive, engaging shopping experience
• Educate customers about products and offer thoughtful recommendations
• Accurately process sales using the point-of-sale system
• Package products carefully and professionally
• Restock displays and help maintain visually appealing product presentation
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items to management
• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting retail environment
• Follow food safety and product handling procedures
• Assist with opening and closing responsibilities
• Support promotions, seasonal launches, and special market events as needed

Part-time hours available. 15-25 hours per week.

Weekend availability is required.

Core Market operating hours: hours subject to change around holidays

• Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Thursday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Sunday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Closed Monday & Tuesday

• Friendly, dependable, and customer-focused
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Must be comfortable working independently during slower periods
• Able to stay organized and productive in a busy retail environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
• Retail, food service, or customer service experience preferred but not required
