Deli Clerk

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Deli Clerk to join our team. The Deli Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving deli products, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring the deli department remains clean, stocked, and organized. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality products and service.

• Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Prepare, slice, package, and weigh deli meats, cheeses, and prepared foods.
• Assist customers with product selections and answer questions about deli offerings.
• Maintain attractive product displays and ensure merchandise is properly stocked.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Operate deli equipment safely, including slicers, scales, and packaging equipment.
• Monitor product freshness and rotate inventory using FIFO procedures.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils regularly.
• Assist with inventory counts and receiving deliveries as needed.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve department goals.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous deli, grocery, food service, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to safely handle food and operate deli equipment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
