About the Role

The Dermatology Specialty Business Manager (SBM) drives demand by educating healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimizing business opportunities in dermatology-focused physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts.

How you will contribute
  • Support account onboarding through education.
  • Conduct clinical selling: deliver the clinical value proposition and move customers through a brand educational continuum.
  • Support initial clinical and patient access education.
  • Coordinate clinical education opportunities for HCPs (e.g., peer-to-peer).
  • Manage accounts in dermatology practices/clinics/hospitals and independent physician offices.
  • Meet sales goals and territory metrics; execute brand strategy/tactics within the assigned customer segment.
  • Build relationships with healthcare provider decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
  • Deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials.
  • Present complex clinical/business information to dermatology and relevant professional/patient groups.
  • Develop and implement medical education and sponsor programs.
  • Strategically manage allocated resources (e.g., budgets, managed markets, medical affairs).
  • Follow compliance policies and seek clarification when needed.
Minimum Requirements /Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree (BA/BS).
  • 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device (or relevant clinical/industry) selling experience; OR 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
  • Dermatology/Dermatologists calling experience highly preferred.
  • Strategic planning, managed care understanding, strong communication, and collaboration.
  • Reside within or close to assigned geography.
Preferred
  • 5+ years direct selling to HCPs.
  • Experience calling on Dermatologists.
  • Experience managing complex reimbursement issues.
Licenses/Certifications
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Travel

Ability to drive/fly to accounts; 25–50% overnight travel may be required.

Training Requirements

Mandatory product training with written/oral exams; continued employment contingent on successful completion.
