As a key member of our sales force, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth, particularly within the engineering community and the C‑suite.

Responsibilities
  • Responsibility to proactively seek and develop new business within assigned territory.
  • Actively calling on existing customers to foster growth and opportunity.
  • Identify and target potential clients within the assigned territory with a focus on engineers and C‑suite executives through research, cold calls, networking, and other creative methods to uncover new sales opportunities.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of customers’ business goals and objectives, operating systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and execute strategies to generate a consistent pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities, emphasizing our ability to solve complex problems with high‑value products.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with decision‑makers: making initial contact, introducing NEFF’s product lines, and developing a rapport to identify customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain a Customer Contact and Activity Database for assigned accounts.
  • Monitoring Sales Activity Reports, projecting annual sales goals, preparing territorial sales forecasts and verifying that sales activity supports the forecast and projected sales.
  • Reviewing customer activities at least quarterly with Team Leader or Sales Manager and strategizing ways to maximize sales volumes or grow territory.

Skills and Abilities

Required
  • Factory automation experience required.
  • Technical sales experience highly desired with a proven track record of successful sales experience as a hunter sales role with a focus on selling to engineers and the C‑suite.
  • Ability to aggressively prospect new business through cold calls and leads.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to initiate, develop, and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to influence others based on facts, return of investment, problem solving, and a strong closing capability.
  • Proven experience in selling to potential customers, not only on features and benefits, but by connecting the specific needs, challenges, and goals of the customer to a tailored solution to meet their desired outcome.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, pipeline progress, and achievements to the sales management team.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and driven to exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Education and Experience
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, with robotics and/or sales engineering required.
