Responsibilities
- Conduct biological extractions on samples like urine, blood, and plasma.
- Focus on wet lab extractions before transitioning to LC-MS techniques after six months.
- Operate robotics for liquid handling.
- Utilize laboratory equipment such as balances, pH meters, and pipettes.
- Work under GLP regulations.
- Collaborate with trainers and team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Take ownership of the sample analysis process, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related Life Science field.
- 1+ year of chemistry experience in school or undergraduate research.
- Experience with pipetting and preparation of solutions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience running HPLC or MS instrumentation preferred.
- Experience with HPLC, LC-MS, or Mass Spec is advantageous.
- Client-facing experience from food service or bartending helpful for handling fast-paced environments.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for work.
The position is based in a laboratory setting within the Bioanalytical team, which consists of approximately 100 employees. The team is primarily focused on lab work, and each chemist is provided with a tablet equipped with eWorkbook software to assist in their tasks. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, WI.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
