Seeking an experienced Imaging Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and service advanced medical imaging equipment across hospital environments. The role supports high-end imaging modalities, ensures maximum equipment uptime, maintains regulatory compliance, and provides technical support to clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and performance testing on medical imaging systems.
- Diagnose, repair, install, and commission imaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system faults.
- Maintain accurate service records and equipment documentation.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
- Support inventory management, including spare parts and equipment records.
- Work alongside clinical staff to minimise equipment downtime.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers when required.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance where appropriate.
Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:
- MRI
- CT
- Cath Lab
- Radiation Oncology / Linear Accelerators
- General X-ray
- Fluoroscopy
- Other diagnostic imaging systems
- Minimum 3 years' experience servicing medical imaging equipment.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with preventative maintenance, repairs, installations, and calibrations.
- Good understanding of computer hardware, networking, and software diagnostics.
- Ability to read technical documentation and service manuals.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to lift equipment/components up to 50 lbs.
- Associate degree/HND/HNC or equivalent qualification in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not essential.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and networking principles.
