Essential Duties
  • Conduct vehicle and foot patrols of Exact Sciences facilities.
  • Respond to reports of security incidents, suspicious activity, and activated alarms.
  • Engage unauthorized persons for questioning and address potential safety hazards and security vulnerabilities.
  • Utilize case management system to complete detailed reports.
  • Staff the Exact Sciences’ Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), field calls for service from internal and external customers, dispatch security or other resources, maintain situational awareness, facilitate emergency alerting and warning for employees and facilities, document calls for service, and elevate incidents to the security leadership team.
  • Monitor electronic surveillance (CCTV) and access control systems.
  • Conduct routine investigations and partner with local law enforcement agencies, participating in crime prevention efforts.
  • Participate in crisis management efforts, including crisis planning and response.
  • Quickly respond to emergency calls and administer first aid as a member of the medical response team.
  • Assist with drills and exercises.
  • Provide a uniformed or plain‑clothes presence during special events or assignments.
  • Network and build relationships with employees across all departments and business units.
  • Apply an assertive and proactive approach in identifying and resolving conflicts, issues, and concerns.
  • Apply sound judgment when making decisions.
  • Build strong relationships by working with others in a collaborative, integrated manner.
  • Exercise strong leadership in an emergency.
  • Prioritize daily tasks, operational demands, and meet deadlines.

  • Work designated schedule, rotating shift, nights and/or weekends as needed, and overtime as required.
  • Work on a mobile device, tablet, or computer for approximately 30% of a typical working day, including typing.
  • Lift up to 40pounds for up to 10% of a typical working day.
  • Perform physical tasks such as grasping, pinching, turning, reaching above shoulder height, complying with personal protective equipment, utilizing security‑specific equipment, and walking or being in constant motion to respond to incidents.
  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift to perform rounds or respond to incidents.
  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time.
  • Meet specific vision requirements for close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • At least 2 years of customer‑focused work experience as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficient computer skills, including internet navigation and email usage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and One Note.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license without suspension, revocation, or invalidation.
  • No more than two moving violations, events, or accidents within the last 36 months.
  • No alcohol or drug events involving vehicle operation within the last 36 months.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree with coursework in security, law enforcement, or related field.
  • Experience in corporate security, military, fire, emergency medical services, or law enforcement.
