Plumber/Pipefitter
LocationOnsite – Kohler, WI
Compensation & ShiftCompetitive Compensation: $27.83 per hour. Shift: 1st Shift, 6:30AM – 2:48PM.
Job OverviewThis position is based at our Kohler, Wisconsin location and involves performing plumbing and pipe fitting tasks, including drain blocks, fixture replacement & repair, pipe replacement, and other pipe fitting project work for customer requests and expectations. The role requires working from drawings, diagrams, and specifications, cutting, threading, forming, and installing piping, fixtures, valves, gauges, and meters.
Responsibilities- Perform plumbing and pipe fitting tasks including drain blocks, fixture replacement or repair, pipe replacement, pipe fitting project work to customer requests and expectations, utility pipe replacement or repair (water, compressed air, gas, etc.).
- Install and maintain plumbing fixtures.
- Repair radiators, unit heaters, heat exchangers, and oil coolers.
- Install and repair downspouts and drains.
- Work from drawings, diagrams, and specifications; cut, thread, form, and install piping, fixtures, valves, gauges, meters, etc. in accordance with requirements and standard practices.
- Perform miscellaneous welding as required (not including pressure vessel or structural steel welding).
- Bore holes through cement, wood, sheet metal walls, floors, roofs using tools such as core drill, hammer drill, etc.
- Make and install brackets and hangers as necessary to install pipe, using hand saws, rollers, and other metal forming tools.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management software to create work notifications, look up and order parts, print work orders, and enter time confirmations.
- Perform tasks within skill assessments while exercising safety for yourself and others.
- Work in a heavy industrial environment, including exposure to heat, cold, dust, dirt, coolants, oils, noise, heights, and confined spaces.
- Obtain or have the Cross Connection testing certificate.
- Participate as an active member of the Kohler Company Fire Brigade, responding to plant fires.

- Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet Kohler Company’s MVR guidelines and maintain good standing.
- Must complete a written technical skills knowledge evaluation and pass the STM (Standard Model Timing) assessment.
- Must provide own tools.
- Physical capability to perform the essential duties, including bending, lifting, and pushing weight.
- Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
