Window Service Technician

Job Summary:

The Service Technician is responsible for servicing customers by installing windows and doors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Perform warranty and service work on various windows lines for all of ZBP locations

Maintaining rapport with customers and team members by examining complaints and identifying solutions in the windows departments as well as assisting with questions regarding window, doors and parts

Document service and installations actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records

Perform the jambing and mulling of windows and doors

Assist in the ordering and gathering components and parts for service work

Screen and hardware installs along with service walk through for various windows lines

Assist with showroom updates at all locations

Maintain job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities for windows and door lines

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or GED

Must have 3+ years of experience in the building materials industry or finish trade or equivalent education, training and/or related work experience

Requires working knowledge of power tools

Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and 100 pounds occasionally. Physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving of your whole body to handle, install and position material
