Our client, a leading organization in the food safety and analytical testing industry, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the operational excellence of a state‑of‑the‑art facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem‑solving skills, independence, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Facilities Technician
Location: Madison, WI
Pay Range: $35-50
Shift: Full-time flexible
What’s the Job?- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility equipment independently.
- Address unique technical challenges with innovative solutions.
- Manage on‑call and off‑hours repair requests with appropriate compensation.
- Learn and maintain various technologies including chillers, pumps, valves, and automated/manual equipment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as GMP, OSHA, FDA, EPA, and local codes while promoting a safe work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some secondary education preferred.
- Knowledge of light carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Industrial Maintenance Technician certification or 5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- HVAC Technician certification or 5 years of HVAC experience preferred.
- Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
