Facilities Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the food safety and analytical testing industry, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the operational excellence of a state-of-the-art facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, independence, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:

Madison, WI

Pay Range: $35-50

Shift: Full-time flexible

What's the Job?

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility equipment independently.
  • Address unique technical challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Manage on-call and off-hours repair requests with appropriate compensation.
  • Learn and maintain various technologies including chillers, pumps, valves, and automated/manual equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as GMP, OSHA, FDA, EPA, and local codes while promoting a safe work environment.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some secondary education preferred.
  • Knowledge of light carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Industrial Maintenance Technician certification or 5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • HVAC Technician certification or 5 years of HVAC experience preferred.
  • Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
