Water Damage Lead Technician

Job Summary

Assist in retaining customers by fulfilling the company’s obligations through the timely and effective delivery of restoration services. The Restoration Lead Technician oversees restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards, industry guidelines (IICRC), and insurance requirements. This role serves as the on‑site leader, directing technicians, communicating with customers, and maintaining quality control throughout the project.

Damage Lead Technician Responsibilities
  • Perform expert‑level water damage mitigation and restoration services according to Voda standards
  • Lead and supervise restoration technicians on residential and commercial job sites
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within company standards
  • Accurately complete work orders, logs, and appropriate restoration documentation
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and industry partners
  • Accurately complete work orders, logs, and appropriate restoration documentation
  • Maintain and care for company equipment, tools, and vehicles
  • Maintain inventory and organization of supplies
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Train and mentor new technicians
  • Be a team player and ready to lead by example
Water Damage Lead Technician Qualifications
  • High school diploma (or GED)
  • 2–5 years of restoration industry experience
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds regularly
  • Ability to work after‑hours emergency calls, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units
  • Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity
  • Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Preferred: IICRC certification (WRT, AMRT), CCT a plus.
