Security Service Technician

A Johnson Controls Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert responsible for maintaining and repairing security systems including burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, card access, and other equipment. The technician works independently from a remote location using provided tools and equipment.

• Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
• Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment, and test for operation.
• Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility is running efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
• Maintain high level of customer service and communication.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience installing and inspecting/repairing fire or burglar alarms.
• Experience with Card Access, CCTV, IP cameras.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Electrical/Electronic background.
• Valid driver's license.
• Preferred:
  Fire alarm experience.
• Preferred:
  Networking experience.
• Preferred: NICET II or greater certification.

Hourly Rate: $23.07 - $31.73 (determined by experience, education, skills, and market data).
