Job DescriptionA Johnson Controls Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert responsible for maintaining and repairing security systems including burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, card access, and other equipment. The technician works independently from a remote location using provided tools and equipment.
Responsibilities- Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
- Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment, and test for operation.
- Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs.
- Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility is running efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
- Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
- Maintain high level of customer service and communication.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience installing and inspecting/repairing fire or burglar alarms.
- Experience with Card Access, CCTV, IP cameras.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Electrical/Electronic background.
- Valid driver's license.
- Preferred:
Fire alarm experience. - Preferred:
Networking experience. - Preferred: NICET II or greater certification.

Hourly Rate: $23.07 - $31.73 (determined by experience, education, skills, and market data).
