Already have concrete experience but interested in expanding your skillset? At Iconica, you'll continue working in concrete while gaining hands-on carpentry experience on a variety of commercial projects.

As a Concrete Carpenter, you'll work alongside our carpenters performing a variety of responsibilities related to rough and finish carpentry, as well as prepping, placing, pouring, and finishing concrete. Every day is a little different, giving you the opportunity to build your skills while contributing to high-quality commercial construction projects.

  • Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, sidewalks, walls, columns, stairs, and other structural elements
  • Set and place forms to the proper elevations and locations
  • Erect wall forms using a variety of forming systems, primarily Advance forms (approximately 90% of our work consists of 4' frost walls)
  • Cut, fabricate, and install reinforcing steel
  • Perform finish grading and install vapor barriers
  • Verify layout and elevations using rotary lasers, transits, and total stations
  • Fabricate and install walls, ceilings, stairs, and soffits using wood, steel, metal, plastics, and composite materials
  • Fabricate and install steel stud bearing walls, partition walls, and soffits
  • Erect scaffolding and ladders as needed to safely complete work
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site while following established safety procedures
Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications & Background:
  • Experience placing and finishing interior and exterior concrete slabs
  • Experience laying out, forming, and placing concrete footings
  • Experience laying out, forming, and pouring concrete walls using Advance forms
  • Experience with stick-built and prefabricated wood construction preferred
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and tools, including power tools and skid loaders
  • Ability to read plans, specifications, and shop drawings
  • Strong layout and jobsite setup skills
  • Commitment to jobsite safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated initiative and commitment to continuous learning
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid driver's license preferred
