Cardinal Coin Company is a Wisconsin amusement and gaming route operator. We place and service gaming machines, jukeboxes, pool tables, dartboards, arcade games, kiosks, pull-tab dispensers, and other equipment in taverns and other locations across south-central Wisconsin. We are hiring a full-time Route Technician to keep that equipment running and to be our presence at every location we serve.
About the role
You will run service on a daily route primarily in the Wisconsin Dells and Dane County areas, servicing equipment on site, restocking pull-tab tickets, and handling installations and removals. A company service vehicle is provided.
This is a hands-on job with real independence. Most days you are on your own, deciding what gets fixed first and how to keep a location owner happy while you do it. You are the person our customers see, and the relationship we have with them depends heavily on how you carry yourself in their business.
What you'll do
Service and troubleshoot gaming machines, jukeboxes, pool tables, dartboards, arcade games, kiosks, pull-tab dispensers, and other equipment in the field, diagnosing to the component level and swapping field-replaceable parts.
Restock pull-tab tickets and maintain inventory on the truck.
Install, relocate, and remove equipment, including full cabinets and pool tables.
Communicate with location owners professionally, answer their questions, and report back anything we should know about the account.
Perform routine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs to keep equipment presentable and earning.
What we're looking for
Prior route experience in amusement, gaming, or vending is preferred. We will also consider candidates coming from other field service trades - HVAC, appliance repair, low-voltage, IT field service, or similar - who have strong mechanical aptitude and a track record of working unsupervised.
Requirements:
21 years of age or older.
Valid Wisconsin driver's license and a clean driving record.
Able to pass a background check.
Able to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted and comfortable working in basements, back rooms, stairwells, and other tight spaces.
Comfortable working in taverns and bar environments.
Dependable, honest, and presentable
Schedule
Full-time, roughly 40 hours per week, primarily daytime. Occasional after-hours or weekend service availability is required.
Compensation and benefits
Hourly wage plus opportunity for commission, based on experience. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and paid holidays. Company service vehicle provided.
