Maintenance Technician

Lutheran Social Services (LSS) seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to support safe, well-functioning facilities that serve clients across our behavioral health, housing, and family service programs. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment. You'll respond to work orders, troubleshoot issues, coordinate vendor repairs, and support room setups and minor renovations while following safety and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair building systems, fixtures, and equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate vendor repairs as needed
• Maintain safe, clean, and compliant facilities for clients and staff
• Monitor building safety systems and address hazards promptly
• Maintain maintenance logs, records, and inventory of tools and supplies
• Support room setups, moves, and minor construction or remodeling projects
• Collaborate with program staff to minimize disruption to client services
• Follow OSHA, safety, and infection control standards and protocols
