Lutheran Social Services (LSS) seeks a Multi-Site Maintenance Technician to support safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environments across our behavioral health, housing, and family service facilities. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs, while ensuring compliance with safety and building standards. The technician will travel between multiple sites, prioritize work orders, and respond to emergencies, partnering closely with program staff to limit disruption to client care.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across multiple LSS facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs
- Respond promptly to work orders and emergency maintenance requests to ensure safe, comfortable environments for clients and staff
- Conduct routine inspections of building systems, equipment, and grounds; identify issues and document findings
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and scheduled services
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inventory records, and documentation for compliance and safety standards
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and infection-control procedures in all work
- Support minor remodeling, painting, flooring, and fixture installations as needed
- Travel between assigned LSS sites using company or personal vehicle as required
- Collaborate with site managers and program staff to prioritize maintenance needs with minimal service disruption
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
Required Skills
- HVAC maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Plumbing repair (fixtures, drains, minor piping)
- Basic electrical (lighting, outlets, breakers within code limits)
- General carpentry and drywall repair
- Preventive maintenance planning and execution
- Building systems inspection and documentation
- Reading and interpreting work orders, manuals, and basic schematics
- Use of hand and power tools safely
- Basic CMMS or digital work order systems
- Knowledge of safety codes and OSHA practices
