What you'll do:
- Own the install. Load/unload equipment, cut sheet metal, assemble components, and install ductwork, gas and condensate piping, and venting—safely and to code.
- Wire it right. Install and troubleshoot low-voltage controls and wiring to bring systems online smoothly.
- Build from the plan. Read blueprints (pre-drawn or field-laid) and translate them into accurate, efficient layouts.
- Cut with confidence. Core and cut openings while protecting structural integrity and jobsite safety.
- Stay two steps ahead. Keep materials and truck stock organized; communicate needs to prevent return trips.
- Lead when needed. Step up to manage tasks and crews to keep timelines on track; help train apprentices and fellow installers.
- Live our safety culture. Model and uphold the DJ Safety Culture so every teammate and partner goes home safe.
- Four 10-hour days, with overtime as needed; year-round work to keep your skills sharp and pay steady.
