Our client, a leader in heavy equipment and municipal vehicle solutions, is seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Installation Technician to join their dynamic team. As a vital member of the assembly department, you will support the installation of snow removal equipment on municipal trucks, contributing to essential public safety operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, teamwork, and a proactive attitude, aligning seamlessly with the company's commitment to excellence and safety.
Job Title: Heavy Equipment Installation Technician
Location: Madison, WI
Pay Range: $45,000 - $67,000
Shift: Flexible hours, 6am-4:30pm, up to 50 hours per week
What's the Job?
- Fitting and installing snow removal equipment on municipal trucks, including snow plows, dump bodies, and hydraulic systems
- Performing saw cutting, drilling, tacking, and finish welding to assemble components
- Conducting part layout and ensuring proper assembly of snow plow systems
- Utilizing modern shop equipment such as welders, torches, ironworkers, and drill presses
- Maintaining a safe and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols
What's Needed?
- At least one year of MIG/GMAW welding and/or metal fabrication experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in person at the Madison, WI location
- Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
