As a Mechanical and Robotics Technician at Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc., you will support operations in commercial and logistics facilities by maintaining and repairing mechanical, robotics, and material-handling systems. You'll perform troubleshooting on conveyors, motors, sensors, actuators, and basic PLC interfaces to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient building performance. Working closely with site engineers, vendors, and facility management, you'll execute preventive maintenance, document work in a CMMS, follow strict safety and compliance standards, and help optimize reliability and throughput in a performance-driven, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, robotics, and material-handling systems in commercial and logistics facilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, motors, sensors, actuators, and related controls to minimize downtime
  • Support basic diagnostics on PLC-controlled equipment and coordinate with controls specialists as needed
  • Document all maintenance activities, parts usage, and asset history in a CMMSFollow strict safety, compliance, and lockout/tagout procedures while working on equipment
  • Collaborate with facility managers, engineers, and vendors to schedule repairs and upgrades
  • Inspect equipment regularly to identify risks and recommend reliability improvements
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and calibration of new mechanical and robotics systems
  • Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to guide repair and maintenance work
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment uptime and performance
