OverviewThe Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA) is the private fundraising and alumni relations organization for the UW‑Madison. WFAA encourages individuals and organizations to make gifts to the university and to connect with the UW. In 2014 the UW Foundation merged with the Wisconsin Alumni Association® to better serve a growing population of UW alumni and donors.
Remote EligibilityWFAA can hire 100% remote only if the applicant resides in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Texas, or Wisconsin.
Essential Functions Data Management- Update or add demographic information and create new constituent records from a variety of sources.
- Monitor and process requests received through an electronic ticket system, respond to the sender in a helpful and timely manner, and process their update or request.
- Receive and process information from paper mail returns received by WFAA or from affiliated campus departments and units.
- Use online tools to research and locate updated demographic information.
- Collaborate and share best practices with team members and partners in other WFAA departments.
- Participate in recurring projects as an individual contributor and/or team member.
- Suggest projects that could help standardize the data and provide a better overall experience to our customers.
- Establish and maintain mutually respectful relationships with WFAA staff and campus partners from units and departments affiliated with UW‑Madison.
- Provide exceptional customer service to WFAA staff, campus partners, alumni, donors, and friends. In all cases, provide timely resolution to requests and questions professionally and courteously.
- Adhere to WFAA and departmental business processes, rules, and best practices.
- Perform basic queries on the database that are used to review and, as necessary, clean up entries in the records.
- Participate in all Constituent Data Processing team meetings.
- Participate in professional development opportunities offered at WFAA or through an external organization.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of professional experience in data management, preferably within non‑profit, educational, or mission‑driven organizations where attention to detail and stakeholder impact are paramount.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- CRM/database data maintenance experience.
- Post high school training.
- Familiarity with query tools and a demonstrated ability to perform research.
- Past experience with Salesforce, Blackbaud CRM or other CRM systems.
