Compensation and Benefits:Wage/Salary: $28.00/hour. Candidates with specific experience in subsidized housing or health & housing issues may be considered for a Senior Case Manager role. The Senior Case Manager salary is $61,250/yr.

PositionDescription:
The Housing Case Manager supports individuals and families in achieving and maintaining stable housing. Responsibilities include assessing client needs, developing housing plans, assisting with rental applications, and providing ongoing case management. The role also involves landlord engagement, tenant education, and connecting clients with community resources. Bilingual positions require fluency in English and Spanish and a commitment to providing culturally responsive services.
Position Type: Non-exempt; full-time (36 hours/week), with some weekends, evening, and holidays required.
Position Reporting: Reports to EDDP Program Manager.
Location: In-office and community locations; remote eligible.
Roles and Responsibilities:As the Housing Case Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Client Intake and Assessment
- Working with clients to understand their current housing situation, needs, and barriers to stable housing.
- Completing assessments and gathering essential information to build a case file.
- Assisting with rental assistances applications within TRC or through other partnering organizations.
Developing and Maintaining Housing Stability Plans
- Collaborating with clients to create customized plans that address their individual goals, and outlining steps and strategies to achieve and maintain housing stability.
- Conducting housing search assistance for clients to identify safe and affordable housing options that meet their needs and preferences.
- Beyond finding housing, providing continued support and monitoring to ensure clients achieve and maintain stable housing.
Landlord Engagement
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with landlords to support clients’ housing stability and resolving any potential issues.
Tenant Education and Guidance
- Providing clients and the community information about rental rights and responsibilities to empower them to navigate the rental process and maintain a positive landlord-tenant relationship.
Resource and Referral
- Connecting clients with relevant resources and referring them to partner organizations that can offer additional support, such as employment assistance, financial counseling, or mental health services.
- Attending and supporting tenants at every eviction court hearing.
General
- Performing other duties as assigned.
