ATTIC stands for "Alternatives to Traditional Incarceration of Citizens." We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to developing interventions that enable individuals to avoid unnecessary levels of incarceration, enhance community safety and provide a setting that facilitates treatment and the reduction of recidivism. We operate residential and other correctional programs throughout Wisconsin that provide case management, counseling and treatment groups, vocational training and high-risk client monitoring and supervision.

Department summary:
Residential Treatment Centers for Correctional Clients operate 24 hours per day with on-duty staff for our clients. Staff monitor client behaviors and whereabouts in the community and enforce program rules and accountability. Substance abuse counseling, cognitive-based programming and correctional case management are provided in an intensive setting. Clients can be granted gradual re-entry into the community based on earned privileges. All service components of our Residential Treatment Centers emphasize trauma-informed care and employ an individualized approach to each client
Hours/schedule40 hrs./wk. Monday
- Friday 12am - 8am. Eligible for all company benefits.
- Provide security and supervision to clients.
- Monitor client whereabouts
- Monitor client behavior
- Maintain required paperwork, progress notes, daily logs, incident reports
- Conduct facility checks and assign client activities
- Supervise client meal preparation & household chores
- By being employed with ACS, which is a non-profit agency, you can be eligible for loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.
- Loans are eligible to be forgiven after 10 years of on-time and consistent payments through the income-based re-payment plan.
Education & Work Experience
- Some college preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 years experience and/or education relating to corrections, community based residential facilities (CBRF), criminal justice, human services, psychology, sociology, security, social service, mental health, behavioral health, or law enforcement preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to interact with staff, clients, and agents in an effective manner while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Ability to maintain the utmost confidentiality of all agency information.
- Strong decision making abilities and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of nutrition and sanitation.
- Experience in record-keeping.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
