PrimaryResponsibilities
As the Embedded Software QA Lead on the Electronics and Connectivity Team, you will lead quality assurance for embedded software systems in smart appliances. Your duties include:
- Understand requirements, plan and execute software test plans and strategies, and ensure features meet quality, functionality, reliability, usability, and performance standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans for appliance‑integrated software, design and automate test cases for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Lead test plan agreement efforts, execute deliverables, and provide comprehensive reports.
- Coordinate with software engineers to develop and support multiple software platforms across appliances.
- Collaborate on defect triage meetings, root cause analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and requirements reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, software engineering or related field.
- 3‑5 years proven embedded software QA experience, including Test Engineer or Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop roles.
- Hands‑on experience building test systems (I/O devices, signal conditioning, wiring/circuit schematics, test sequencers, result reporting).
- Proficiency in manual and automated testing techniques and tools.
- Programming experience in National Instruments Veri Stand, Test Stand, LabVIEW, Python, C#, or C++.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies (Scrum/Agile), and Dev Ops practices.
- Familiarity with build and version control systems, continuous integration/continuous deployment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency with LabVIEW, Python, C#, C++, Veri Stand, and Test Stand.
- Experience leading testing for embedded systems and building test fixture design and execution.
- Experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, function generators, programmable power supplies.
- Familiarity with requirements and test case management tools such as Jama or Test Rail.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum frameworks and Dev Ops practices.

This position requires a pre‑employment drug/alcohol test and background check, which will be administered after a conditional job offer is extended.
