Overview
WISCONSIN ONLY POSTING: ALL WORK MUST BE DONE IN WISCONSIN The State of Wisconsin DCF is looking for two (2) .NET Web Developer II's.
This position will work on a high-profile web application project within the Child Care and Child Welfare (CCCW) section of DCF. There are multiple projects underway including an Enterprise-wide migration to a unified authentication platform using Okta, and other .NET/MVC web applications with JavaScript, Blazor, and Kendo UI components.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include requirements analysis, design, front-end and back-end web application development, testing, participation in interactive code reviews, and development using JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC with C#, SQL Server and DB2 databases. Responsibilities also involve quality code development using TDD, participation in active code reviews, sharing expertise, respectful communication, technical documentation, and production support. The candidate will join an existing team and may work on other projects as needed.
The candidate should have strong communication skills and be a team player.

Skills:
Writing Custom SQL (5 years) - C# .NET Blazor or MVC (5 years)
- Full stack development (5 years)
- Experience with ASP.NET MVC with C#, JavaScript, and SQL Server
- Experience with authentication and authorization techniques and secure authentication flows; strong working knowledge of OIDC; familiarity with Okta or Entra
- Experience with modern web technologies and front-end frameworks (e.g., Blazor, React, Angular, Vue.js, HTMX, Alpine.js);
Kendo UI experience - Familiarity with IIS and CI/CD concepts;
Power Shell familiarity is a plus - Experience with TDD and automated testing concepts; familiarity with Git Hub Actions or other CI platforms
- Experience with data structures and relational databases (SQL Server, DB2)
- Experience with source control using Git; familiarity with TFS/Azure Dev Ops or similar
- Dataflow and structure modeling; JIRA knowledge
- Okta implementation experience;
Proficiency with OIDC

Additional Details- Onsite, hybrid or remote:
Candidate must be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense. 90-100% remote but may require onsite with notice. Onsite work is not likely, but be prepared to come onsite if required. - Candidate must be located in the United States; international candidates/phone numbers will not be accepted.
- Candidate must follow all DCF work rules and be available to perform work during CST business hours 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (or CST hours as defined by the hiring manager).
- Candidate will be required to provide their own equipment (per job description).
- Interviews will be scheduled after the posting close date. A real-time screenshot photo of the candidate must be uploaded to the candidate's bid upon confirming the interview.
This position is primarily to work on a high-profile web application project within CCCW and related modernization efforts across legacy and new technologies.
