Role Overview

The Client IT Custom Application Development Section seeks to hire a Microsoft .NET Web Developer III to design, develop, test, implement and maintain solutions and features for applications in the Microsoft .NET environment integrated with an Oracle database. This position includes designing and implementing Oracle database changes in support of the application.

The developer will provide reliable, responsive support for these projects and systems as well as existing system support as assigned. The role demands 40 hours per week of work and may involve new development, enhancements, maintenance, and providing support for existing applications based on agency.

The position requires on‑call stand‑by coverage during the fire season (generally March to early June) and possibly at other times. Stand‑by may be required on weekends during this period and typically involves responding within one hour once notified.

The candidate must have proven work experience with application development, user interface development for custom applications, and database design and development. The person will work closely with team members and the client Application Architect Lead to design application solutions, develop plans, and ensure effective integration among information systems and IT infrastructure, including approved third‑party technologies.

The role also involves understanding the interactions between applications and services within the client environment, evaluating the impact of changes or additions, and continuously improving solutions to align with industry standards and emerging business requirements.

The candidate should be motivated to stay current with technological advancements, possess strong communication, time‑management, listening, collaboration, problem‑solving, and adaptability skills, and be able to plan and accomplish goals independently.

Skillsets & Qualifications
  • Advanced level application development skills, including analysis and development within the Microsoft .NET environment.
  • Experience with , Power BI, SQL (Microsoft), and C# Azure Dev Ops.
  • Strong database design and development experience with Oracle.
