The Wisconsin DNR is hiring an LTE (Limited Term Employee) Web and SharePoint Publisher/ IS Resources Support Tech
- Senior at our offices, in Madison, WI.
This position works under the general supervision of the DNR IT Web Services Supervisor. The Forestry Web and SharePoint Publisher assists the Forestry Division Web Coordinator in creating, updating, publishing, managing, and auditing content on department websites and administration of associated systems and services.
60% - Web Content Management
- Publish and update content on the DNR website (dnr.wi.gov), external partner websites and SharePoint intranet and collaborative sites
- Take responsibility for incoming web update requests
- Work collaboratively with staff to develop content that is suitable for the web
- Edit photos and develop graphics using Photoshop and Illustrator
- Improve web content by fixing broken links and resolving accessibility issues
- Design webpages and sites based on business requirements gathered from staff
- Customize SharePoint lists and document libraries by creating new metadata fields and views
- Serve in temporary back-up role publishing the division’s weekly internal newsletter, when the Forestry Division-wide Associate Communications position is vacant or unavailable due to planned extended leave of absence.
15% - Contribute to Overall Administration of Web Technologies
- Assist with the administration of web technologies used to deliver content solutions. (e.g., Drupal, Digital Asset Management system, Monsido, search technologies, etc.)
- Participate in periodic audits and housekeeping of user accounts, content, digital assets and other data used to deliver Drupal content management services
10% - User Application Training/Support
- Provide information and training to staff in appropriate methodologies for the development or enhancement of Drupal and SharePoint web content
10% - Web analytics
- Establish, monitor, and analyze performance measures (e.g., Google Analytics) and use results to improve functionality of applications and effectiveness of content (e.g., search engine optimization)
5% - Participate on DNR IT Web Services Team
- Share knowledge with other members of DNR IT Web Services and aid in areas of personal expertise
This position pays between $24.00 - $25.98 per hour and is in pay schedule and range 06-14. Compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.
This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position and will not automatically lead to permanent state employment or be entitled to the same benefits as permanent employees.

To be considered for this position, you must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin.
A Wisconsin resident is a person who:
- a. Has established a residence, as defined in s. 6.10(1), in this state not less than 10 days earlier;
- b. Has resided in this state for not less than a total of one year out of the immediately preceding 5 years;
- c. Is eligible to register to vote in this state; or
- d. Is the spouse of a person meeting the requirements of par. (a), (b), or (c).” s.), Wis. Stats.
