Position SummaryThis position works under the close supervision of the DNR IT Web Services Supervisor. The Forestry Web Automation Specialist LTE assists the Forestry Division Web Coordinator in completing the milestones and other tasks related to annual Web Services projects. Annual projects typically involve the modernization, replacement, maintenance or ongoing improvements to systems, solutions and digital content maintained and administered by the DNR IT Web Services Section.
60% - Complete milestones and other tasks related to annual Web Services projects
- Participate in projects to routinely inventory, audit and monitor digital web content for compliance to department, state and federal standards including ADA compliance
- Follow documented repeatable processes and report project process
- Research and develop automated solutions to complete project and maintenance related tasks
- Assist in the development of repeatable processes to complete project milestones
- Participate in research, evaluation and selection of web technologies to meet project goals
- Contribute to project requirements gathering, milestone and timeline development, and project resource estimations.
15% - Contribute to Overall Administration of Web Technologies
- Assist with the administration of web technologies used to deliver content solutions. (e.g., SharePoint On-prem, SharePoint Online, Digital Asset Management system, search technologies, etc.)
- Participate in periodic audits and housekeeping of user accounts, content, digital assets and other data used to deliver SharePoint services.
10% - User Application Training/Support
- Provide information and training to staff in appropriate methodologies for the development or enhancement of SharePoint web content.
10% - Online Survey Development and Support
- Develop online surveys using a variety of tools and survey platforms.
- Export survey data and develop reports.
- Provide troubleshooting, support and administration.
5% - Participate on DNR IT Web Services Team
- Share knowledge with other members of DNR IT Web Services and aid in areas of personal expertise.
This position pays between $24.00 - $27.50 per hour and is in pay schedule and range 07-35. Compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.
This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position and will not automatically lead to permanent state employment or be entitled to the same benefits as permanent employees.
