Java Developer (Contract – Madison, WI)

Codeworks, an LRS company, seeks a seasoned Java Developer to join a contract position. The role involves design, development, and modernization of enterprise applications, primarily in Java, C#/.NET, and Spring ecosystems. Responsibilities include contributing to modernization initiatives across Java and .NET environments, updating Java versions, migrating identity providers, improving accessibility, and transitioning legacy systems to microservices.

• Design, develop, and enhance applications, including modernization of existing systems
• Analyze and address complex technical challenges
• Support modernization initiatives using industry best practices
• Develop and implement testing strategies with automated build processes
• Collaborate on modernization efforts for Java and .NET applications
• Build and improve presentation layers using modern JavaScript/Type Script frameworks such as Angular or React
• Assist the evolution of applications toward scalable, modern architectures, including microservices

The base range for this contract position is $50.00–$60.00 per hour, depending on experience. Pay is determined by work location and other factors.
