Job Summary
Must be local to Madison, WI for occasional onsite work. The selected candidate will play a hands‑on senior technologist/lead role in the design, development, and modernization, and support of applications. In addition to developing new applications and tools, the candidate will provide technical expertise for modernization efforts of Java and .NET applications, such as upgrading Java versions, migrating the identity provider, accessibility upgrades, and transforming legacy applications to microservices.
We are looking for someone with strong experience in Java, C#.NET, ASP.NET, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, full lifecycle testing, microservice architecture patterns, and Agile project management methodology.

Salary: $54.66 - $58.66 per hour

Education:

- Design and develop new applications, and enhance and modernize existing applications
- Solve complex technical problems
- Provide technical leadership to modernization efforts
- Develop testing methodology and criteria and implement them on automated build processes
- Lead efforts for modernizing Java and .NET applications following industry best practices
- Develop application presentation layers using modern JavaScript/Type Script technologies such as Angular or React
- Provide technical leadership to moving applications toward a microservices and modern architecture
- Java/J2EE (5+ years)
- C#.NET (3+ years)
- ASP.NET (3+ years)
- Spring Framework (5+ years)
- Spring Boot (5+ years)

- SQL experience (5+ years)
- Experience working in Agile (5+ years)

- Experience working with Maven, Intelli
J, and Java 21 - Experience working with industry standard patterns for modernization (e.g., lift and shift, strangler)
