For 60 years, TPC Wisconsin (formerly Cherokee Country Club), has served as Madison’s only private facility to offer an 18-hole golf course, all-season golf range, indoor and outdoor tennis, pickleball, and outdoor pool. Our Champions Grille and banquet halls host casual and fine dining opportunities of intimate proportions, 30 or less, and large celebrations of 200 plus guests. Job Responsibilities /Duties:- Train, motivate, and supervise staff capable of performing the tasks associated with the daily maintenance the golf course. Assist Golf Course Superintendent with recommendations concerning personnel matters such as pay rates, performance reviews, corrective actions and terminations.
- Schedule and supervise the daily course set up and the operations of the maintenance crew.
- The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent may serve in the Golf Course Superintendent's capacity during their absence or as scheduled.
- Assist the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure that the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital improvement plans are implemented.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the necessary cultural maintenance programs necessary to keep the golf course and landscape grounds in good condition, including the proper application of pesticides and fertilizers.
- Special projects or other duties as assigned.

At least one (1) year of experience in Golf Course Management
Ability to obtain Wisconsin pesticide applicator license.
Preferred Qualifications:- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, Turf Management, Agronomy, or related field.
- State of Wisconsin certification as a member of the WGCSA and GCSAA
- Experience working with and repairing irrigation lines
- Small equipment maintenance, snow plowing and tree removal experience
