OverviewSenior Analyst International Transportation (Export Operations) is responsible for managing, analyzing and optimizing global export transportation activities across ocean, air, rail, truck and parcel modes.
The position works cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, customers, carriers, forwarders, third‑party logistics partners, customs brokers and suppliers to ensure efficient, compliant and cost‑effective movement of goods from origin to international destinations.
Responsibilities- Manage day‑to‑day export transportation activities, ensuring timely, compliant and cost‑effective movement of export shipments.
- Analyze carrier, forwarder and dray provider performance across service, cost and reliability metrics.
- Participate in carrier reviews, performance scorecards and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage daily exceptions and resolve service and capacity interruptions with help from the carriers and our warehouse, procurement, trade compliance and customer service teams.
- Ensure export shipment complies with international trade and Haz Mat regulations, export controls, incoterms and internal policies.
- Support documentation accuracy, including commercial invoices, BOLs, etc.
- Identify and mitigate operational, compliance and financial risks within the export network.
- Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards and analytical tools to improve export visibility and decision making.
- Perform root cause analysis on service failure, cost overruns and recurring operational issues.
- Lead or support process improvement initiatives to streamline export workflows and enhance scalability.
- Provide guidance to team coordinators.
- Support strategic projects such as 4PL enhancements, system implementations and network optimization initiatives.
- Assist Corporate Purchasing in negotiating ocean freight rates, international airfreight rates, international freight forwarder and customhouse brokers’ fees, and inland freight rates with carriers and carrier rate‑making conferences. Calculate freight quotations as requested.
- Support the auditing and payment of freight bills and invoices; work with coordinators, accounts payable, and 3rd Party FA&P provider to improve freight bill pay efficiencies.
- Participate as a transportation lead in key international projects including direct import, network design changes, freight bids, new plant/supplier start‑ups, and network changes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management.
- 3-5 Years of practical experience in international transportation.
- APICS CPIM/CSCP or similar.
- Strong analytic skills.
- Haz Mat certification is preferred. SAP experience with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of import/export compliance and other governmental trade regulations is desirable.

Benefits and CompensationThe salary range for this position is $81,500 - $124,400. The position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation. Benefits available from day 1.
