The Dane County Regional Airport has 2 current vacancies for full time (1.0) Terminal Facility Workers.

Schedule for both positions

3:30 pm - 12:00 am, rotating, including weekends and holidays.

Undesirable Hours Premium Pay

Employees assigned to this classification at the Airport also receive undesirable hours pay of $3.00 for any time worked between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., and for any time on Saturday and/or Sunday.

The eligible list created from this posting will be used for future Terminal Facility Worker vacancies within the next six (6) months.

Note to applicants – for the 2026 budget year, there is a 1% reduction in wages (already reflected above), an additional 21 holiday hours, and continued earning of longevity and merit steps.

Definition

Under general supervision on assigned shift, perform duties related to airport landside transportation activities, including curbside traffic enforcement. Perform snow removal and grounds maintenance duties. Provide customer service to the public. Perform minor maintenance. Perform related work as required.

Examples of Duties

Patrol terminal building curbside to ensure efficient traffic flow and issue citations for parking violations. Perform airport security inspections to ensure compliance with federal and Dane County regulations and ordinances. Patrol permit parking areas for proper use of permits. Perform buildings and grounds maintenance, including cleaning floors, stairways and restrooms. Collect trash. Remove snow and perform ice control using light trucks, tractors and other riding and walk-behind equipment.

Replace light fixtures. Paint and perform minor repairs to motorized equipment. Check malfunctioning parking equipment and make minor adjustments. Perform minor maintenance of parking ticket dispensers and gates. Wash and perform light maintenance on equipment (trucks and tractors). Assist public with answering complaints, questions and concerns. Assist with light maintenance projects in parking facilities. Perform duties of toll booth attendant as required.

Perform other duties as required.

Education, Training and Experience

Any combination of training and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and experience operating light and medium equipment for snow removal and turf maintenance and performance of minor repairs and maintenance.

Certifications / Licenses

Access to personal transportation and eligibility to hold or possess a valid driver’s license. A good driving record of at least three (3) years' duration as evidenced by freedom from multiple or serious traffic violations or accidents.

Special Requirements

Candidates who reach the final selection stage will be subject to an FBI criminal history records check, TSA security assessment, employment history verification, and a driving record background check. Must be available for work at any time including nights, holidays, weekends, and during snow and other airport emergencies.
