We’re hiring a Flatbed Driver to join County Materials Corp in Madison, WI.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety ‑ focused Flatbed CDL Driver to transport freight using a flatbed tractor ‑ trailer. This position requires strong attention to detail, physical ability to secure and tarp loads, and strict adherence to DOT regulations and company safety standards. The Flatbed Driver serves as a professional representative of the company at customer locations, ensuring on ‑ time deliveries, excellent customer service, and safe freight handling.

  • Competitive hourly pay, starting at $28-31hr based on experience. (Regular Over-time offered)
  • The majority of freight hauled is for our company, with minimal wait time.
  • Home every night.
  • Training in flatbed procedures and oversized loads available.

Job

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform safe and efficient transportation of goods using flatbed tractor ‑ trailer equipment
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service when interacting with customers and site personnel
  • Conduct pre ‑ trip, post ‑ trip, and in ‑ route inspections of tractor, trailer, and securement equipment
  • Secure and tarp loads properly in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
  • Operate tractor ‑ trailer combinations in a safe and professional manner
  • Maintain compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Unload materials using approved methods, including pipe unloaders when required
  • Maintain cleanliness and operating condition of assigned tractor and trailer
  • Receive dispatch instructions, communicate job status, and report completion of deliveries
  • Maintain consistent communication with dispatch throughout assigned routes
  • Represent the company professionally by maintaining positive customer relationships

Experience &

Qualifications:

  • High school education (or Equivalent).
  • Must hold a valid CDL prior to hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years driving experience.
  • Work in outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures.
  • Work near moving machinery and equipment.
  • Work in a noisy environment.
