Pickup & Delivery Driver Madison, WI | Westphal

We are seeking a dependable and adaptable Pickup & Delivery Driver to support our electrical construction operations by transporting materials, tools, and equipment between warehouses, suppliers, and active job sites. This position requires excellent communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment where priorities and destinations may change throughout the day. The ideal candidate will safely operate a pickup truck or stake truck, document deliveries with photos and video, and ensure materials arrive where they are needed, when they are needed.

• Safely operate a company pickup truck or stake truck to transport electrical materials, tools, and equipment.
• Pick up and deliver materials between suppliers, warehouses, and multiple job sites. Typical radius is within 50 miles but travel outside of that may be needed.
• Communicate regularly with warehouse personnel, project managers, foremen, and field crews regarding delivery schedules and material needs.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, photos, and documentation, such as mileage logs.
• Take photographs and video documentation of deliveries, job site conditions, and completed work using company‑provided devices.
• Secure loads properly using straps, tie‑downs, and other approved methods to ensure safe transportation.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Adapt to changing schedules, routes, priorities, and job site needs throughout the day.
• Follow all federal, state, and local traffic regulations and speed limits.
• Follow company safety policies and job site safety requirements.
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with vendors, customers, and employees.
• Other duties as determined.

• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record: no DUI/DWI convictions, reckless driving or suspended licenses.
• Experience driving pickup trucks, stake trucks, or similar work vehicles preferred.
• Ability to safely secure and transport materials and equipment.
• Comfortable using technology: smartphones, tablets, cameras, and other software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel between various job sites throughout the workday.
• Dependable, punctual, and safety‑minded.
• Comfortable with frequent changes in schedule and work locations.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with warehouse staff and field personnel.
• Self‑motivated and reliable.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to load and unload materials from vehicles.
• Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout the day.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
