Merchandiser - Route Driver

Job Summary

Drives a company vehicle over an established route to deliver products, maintain inventory, and provide top‑notch service to clients and customers at all times.

  Monday through Friday, 4:00 am start time
• Hiring:

  Commission eligibility may apply to all Canteen driving roles

• Prior to each route, ensure the truck is properly loaded with all required product.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and product distribution for vending machines.
• Load hand cart with totes of product, walk to the machines, load them, and return to truck with empty totes.
• Perform product rotation to ensure freshness at client vending locations.
• Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of vending machines and related equipment.
• Conduct minor service and adjustments on machines; report defective equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate machine product and inventory data via a handheld computer.
• Inform regular clients and customers of new products or services.
• Listen to and resolve service complaints; report all complaints to supervisor promptly.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue promotion materials to customers.
• Accountable for receipt of goods, invoices, delivery tickets, cash collected, and product.
• Conduct inventory reconciliation according to established procedures.
• Keep company vehicle clean and organized; perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 3 years of driving experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe operation of company vehicles.
• Preferred: 1–2 years in customer service or 1 year of related experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs consistently.
