Day Shift Driver – Southern WI

Meffert Oil Company (MOC) Trucking LLC is seeking an experienced, safety‑minded, efficient Transport Driver for transporting petroleum fuel products to service the Madison markets. The schedule is day shift, Sunday through Thursday, starting around 5:00‑6:00 am. This position is based in Waunakee, Dane County, WI.
Your Contributions Will Include- Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip equipment inspections on semi‑tractor and trailer at beginning and end of shift.
- Thoroughly and securely hook up and unhook trailers as required.
- Safely and accurately load and unload all products while adhering to all safety measures, regulations and standards of all customers, company, and terminal operators.
- Operate the semi‑truck to and from locations while adhering to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and traffic laws.
- Safely operate bulk fuel dispensing equipment to underground (gravity drop) and above ground (pump off) fuel tank systems.
- Accurately operate the dispatching and logging programs of electronic devices/tablets.
- Prepare and complete all necessary paperwork for deliveries.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and follow notification steps for any potential hazards.
- Provide excellent customer service while representing yourself and the company.
To be successful, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED (required).
- Minimum of 3 months related experience and/or training (required).
- Must hold or be able to obtain a CDL Class A with Class N and H endorsements in Wisconsin and meet all State and Federal Department of Transportation requirements (required).
- Must possess and maintain a Federal Transportation Medical Examination Certification in accordance with all State and Federal requirements (required).
- Demonstrated ability to perform work at the highest level of ethics and integrity (required).
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions (required).
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence (required).
- Proficient in basic math skills (required).
- Capability to operate electronic equipment and mobile devices such as bulk fuel dispensing equipment, underground fuel tank systems, and tablets (required).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills (required).
- Experience in observing procedures, determining appropriate action, reporting, and safe use of equipment and materials (required).
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision (required).
- Must work Tuesday through Saturday evenings on 8‑11 hour shifts covering two thirds of southern and central Wisconsin (required).
- Enrolled in the Federal DOT driver clearing house (required).
- Must complete a DOT physical, drug screen, and background screen prior to employment (required).
- Experience in the fuel industry is preferred.
MOC Trucking LLC offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefit package:
