We are hiring immediately for a full‑time Warehouse Attendant position at Canteen – 2305 Daniels Street, Madison, WI 53718. Applications accepted online only.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 6:00 am start, 35+ hours per week.
Pay: $20.00 – $21.00 per hour. Sign‑on bonus: $1,000. Willingness to train on forklift is required; forklift training will be provided.
Responsibilities- Read production schedule, customer order, work order or shipping order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
- Place materials/goods on racks, shelves and bins or in refrigerated rooms according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
- Fill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves; convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
- Mark materials with identifying information.
- Open bales, crates and other containers.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
- Use computers to enter records and compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
- Drive vehicle to transport stored items or to pick up items.
- Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.
- Prepare parcels for mailing.
- Maintain inventory records and perform other duties as assigned.
- Ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
- Demonstrate personal commitment to safety of self and others.
- Abide by all company policies and procedures including use of appropriate protective equipment.
