Job Summary

Labcorp is seeking a Warehouse Associate - Warehouse Operations to join our team in Madison, WI. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing a variety of activities related to receiving, distributing, storing, dispensing, inventory control and/or shipping of samples, supplies, controlled substances, mail and other materials to meet company standards of quality, customer service, safety, and productivity.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform duties related to receiving, distributing, storing, dispensing, inventory control and/or shipping in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Load and unload freight safely.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all equipment is available and in safe working condition.
  • Verify contents of material received under purchase orders and report shortages, damages, and incorrect shipments.
  • Enter purchase order, sample, and inventory receipts into internal computer systems; print appropriate paperwork.
  • Prepare logs for P‑Card, Internet order, and freight receipts.
  • Enter requisitions for select items based on inventory.
  • Deliver materials or samples to proper locations; ensure proper rotation and organization of stock.
  • Participate in physical inventories, trace discrepancies, and resolve problems with Buyer/RCPs.
  • Confirm internal stock requisitions, pick and deliver requested items.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area; assist in maintaining warehouse security.
  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Perform routine and non‑routine activities in the mail room, including preparing manifests, processing mailings, sorting and delivering internal mail, weighing and preparing outgoing mail, and operating postal meter machine.
  • Assist with preparing document and dangerous goods shipments, including packing, labeling, and completing required documentation.
  • Accurately maintain records in the area of responsibility and forward to designated personnel.
  • Provide information to internal customers about departmental policies and SOPs.
  • Understand cost factors and make cost‑effective suggestions.
  • Work closely with internal personnel to maintain controlled substance handling procedures.
  • Manage time and tasks independently with minimal supervision; recognize unusual situations and act or notify supervisor as appropriate.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • At least one year of continuous work history with receiving and customer service experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
  • At least one year of experience operating pallet jacks safely.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience using barcode/inventory control tracking equipment.
  • At least one year of experience in spreadsheet development.
Additional Job Standards
  • Active listening, written and verbal communication, detail‑oriented and organized.
  • Basic computer skills; able to multitask within multiple systems.
  • Adaptable with changing duties; follows SOPs but can problem‑solve and deviate when required.
  • Strong skills in customer service and quality performance of essential duties.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds routinely.
  • Weekends and overtime as needed.
Compensation

Pay: $20 per hour.

  • Employees who work 20+ hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
  • Employees who work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) Plan.
